Cult of Clair is the brainchild of Laura and Lauren, two Chicago area 20somethings who love a whole lot of things, often to an unhealthy degree, and want to share them with the world.
No, we are not part of an actual cult, nor do we have any intentions of starting one. The name reflects our love of and mutual aspiration to be Clair Huxtable, the Ultimate Woman, and the phrase itself comes from the book On Beauty by Zadie Smith (it's good, you should read it). Basically, the phrase represents a group of people who see someone they really want to be like and spend a lot of time around her in order to become more like her. So hopefully this blog will represent for us our way to become more like the women we want to be by spending time developing our thoughts and ideas and sharing them with you!
